The fruity signature of the House

Our Brut Tradition Champagne is the calling card of the Charles Degodet House. Made from our own vines in the Ardre Valley, it expresses all our craftsmanship as an independent French grower.

The Blend & The Time

This cuvée highlights Meunier (70%), the king grape of our valley, completed by Pinot Noir (20%) and Chardonnay (10%). To ensure perfect maturity, our bottles benefit from at least 2 years of cellar aging, well beyond the usual standards.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Brut Tradition and Brut Réserve ?

The Brut Tradition is the entry-level cuvée of a champagne house, its ambassador. The Brut Réserve contains a higher proportion of reserve wines (previous vintages). Our Brut Tradition stands out for its Meunier-dominant blend and its 24-month aging, above the average.

Why 70% Meunier in your Brut Tradition ?

Meunier is the emblematic grape of the Ardre Valley and the Marne Valley. It brings roundness, fruitiness and generosity to champagne. We highlight it to faithfully express our terroir.

How long can a bottle of Brut Tradition be kept ?

Our Brut Tradition is ready to drink upon release, but can be kept for 3 to 5 years in good conditions (cool cellar, lying flat, away from light). It will gain in complexity with some aging.

At what temperature should Brut Tradition be served ?

The ideal serving temperature is between 8 and 10°C (46-50°F). Avoid prolonged ice buckets which harden the aromas. A gradual cooling in the refrigerator (3-4 hours) is preferable.
